Naruto Shippuden to air on Disney XD in the U.S. (Updated) (October 28th)
“The Hollywood Reporter newspaper has revealed and Viz Media has confirmed that the Naruto Shippūden anime series will run on the Disney XD channel in the United States starting next month. The sequel series takes place two and a half years after the first Naruto anime series as the older, somewhat more mature title character returns to his village of Konoha and faces the Akatsuki criminal ninja organization. The series has been streaming online on several websites, including ANN, since January. ”

i am watching the jap version and its pretty cool, i don’t get wats the drama guys would u rather wait for 4 episodes every month??? damn i was just like that but then i said ok im just gonna watch one jap episode n then i said ok just one more… n now im on 74 n can’t stop, like u can still go back n watch it when it comes out dubbed, n besides its not like u’v neva watched cartoons or films with subtitles but up to u i have to say its being great so far u won’t lose nothing buy tryin some episodes then see

Watch it in japanese like you should, dubbed is garbage- scratch that, Naruto is just garbage in general. I’ve been watching naruto ever since it came out in japan, dubbed is absolute trash, infact, just read the manga because naruto shippuden is sooooo bad compared to regular naruto
I’m happy that Naruto Shippuden is going to be on TV and I seriously doubt that Naruto Shippuden is going to be as bad as everyone says it is. There are two things I want to point out to you guys:
1.Disney XD is aimed for older children
2.Naruto Shippuden is rated PG-13 (meaning it is ment for people 13 and over).

Naruto isn’t actually all for teens. I hear cursing a lot and my parents HAVE WATCHED Naruto. They still let me watch it. I don’t know why Naruto Shippuden is on Disney xd and Cartoon Network should have kept it and it should be on adult swim. But all that counts is that I get to watch Naruto. And i’ve been watching it for 4 years, since I was in 3rd grade! I’m not gonna stop. I’m old enough to know NOT to repeat bad words they say and I watch Bleach (what can I say? I love fighting).

Well according to wikipedia, disney xd is a channel for kids 9-14 ages, and some evene exceed that age limit. so we can expect “level 1″ swearin like damn, crap, hell, and stuff like that. i doubt the blood will be gone, however i know im gonna be dissapointed by the voice acting

i disagree interiorly… just to make a show action pact and exciting doesn’t mean that it needs gallons of blood… i find that dub shows are still quite good, despite the fact that they lack blood and cursing…
The blood makes the show what it is. Think about how awkward it would look when people get stabbed and nothing happens other than them falling.

The channel shouldn’t do much editing, it’s a replacement channel for jetix and toon disney so everything that was shown on those channels just got moved to one (from what it looks like on wiki anyway, tht or they picked the most popular out of the shows shown and carried on with them), if they change it too much then viewers aren’t gonna be happy. Just sucks tht a kids channel brought it before anyone else could get there, maybe they thought would be higher view rates for them :/…

Er, ectually, Naruto Shippuden IS a kid’s show in Japan. OK, so it’s probably not meant to be aimed at younger kids but it’s basically pitched at preadolescents aged between approximately 9-14/15 years so Disney XD sounds pretty much like the right channel to air it on. I don’t think it’ll be as heavily edited as people assume it’ll be, just going off what I’ve read about that channel. Besides, if yu really think Disney will be worse than CN for editing all the blood out, you SERIOUSLY need to go back at watch some of Disney’s animated movies cos their violence and nastiness seriously makes Naruto look like Sesame Street at times.

Hidan wasn’t really cussing, it was just added by the fansubbers. In the original version, he was simply flat out rude. There are no cuss words in the Japanese language, do some research.

well nobody in this conversation said to put it on syfy adult swim would be the absolute ideal anime channel for shows like naruto and bleach. look at bleach they did not cut out anything out, they curse, they have violence, and it comes on for an hour.
