Well. The japanese language doesn’t have any L’s.
They use the R sound as a substitute. Not really much of a stery type as it is truth.
ya it is the l is not much of a letter (or kenji whatever) just like in russia, where h is replaced with g so instead of harry potter, its garry potter
the stereotype thing… as far as i know some can and some can’t. so yes and no. they switch the l’s and the r’s. it’s weird i know, but it’s also like the french not being able to pronounce their t’s. some can and some can’t.
