To be honest,i like Light’s idea.protect the innocent,and judge the wicked.He started off as a good guy,i hate the fact that he let the power corrupt him later on.If he had kept his cool,and not gotten so power hungry maybe he really would have made the world a better place =/

shit. i have been waching soul eater and fruits basket. going from those two to this is like ripin my mind apart, just this first episode made me want to wach more, but I think I’ll finish soul eater first. Its alot more lidght-harted and funny

If you were debating on watching this or something else watch every other show that you were considering to watch first, because this show is so freaking EPIC no other story will ever live up to it and you will have such a hard time watching any other story I am not lying!!!!! Watch something else first then watch this cause it will be nearly impossible to watch anything after this!
yeah i agree cuz ive only found 1 other show like this and the affect of this and that show stays no matter how much you watch it

Truly I loved this series. The artwork was magnificent voice acting good and an excellent cast. The subtle religous references were clever, and gray morality helps to build a great world. Light was incredibly well written, the idea that because he was so perfect and that evil was simply uncomprehendable to him was really what made this for me

I have to admit that I kind of agree with what Light is doing to the world, but it just seems to me that in later episodes he’ll take it over the top. And then I’ll start disliking him quite a lot most likely.
I watched the scenes from the next episode, and that big L on a computer screen, is that a person or something? Guess I’ll have to find out.
I don’t get why people say this is a scary dark anime.
It’s my favorite anime and I think it’s the best, but I don’t get why people alaways say it’s emo and it scares them.

its about time someone finially came out with a story like death note, i think that deep down somewhere we’ve all thought about what we would do if something like this would happen and what we would do if we actually had full control over the world, this is actually amazing! im so happy that this story is out there! and on a side note! wow that was dark! like scary dark almost! but i love that it is because thats part of what makes it so brilliant! i think if i was 12 i would be scared if this show actually LOL but its actually a beautifully written story! *fangirl squeal of happiness that this exists*

this was my favorite until i watched gantz and higurashi,
gantz is sexy action
higurashi slice of life with a horror twist
fans of death note will probably like gantz more but higurashi is worth watching, still the scariest anime ive ever watched

Wow, first episode and Light’s already lost it. Lelouch didn’t’ go insane til much farther along in the series. By the way I’m noticing alot of similarities between the two. Their personalities are very alike, and Lelouch’s Geass to Light’s Death Note, C2 to Ryuk, Zero to Kira, and both of them are more, behind the scenes guys.
